BRAZIL, THE COPA WINNER OF 2019

To start with Brazil is the 9th time champion of Copa cup out of 46th edition.
Brazil put up a stunning victory over Peru to lift the Copa America Cup. They won it on their home soil at Markana Stadium in Rio De Janeiro. Most importantly, Brazil team maintained their record to be Copa champion in all the times it was played in Brazil, the country of Pele, the living king of football.
Brazil beat Peru 3-1 to lift the cup in spite of the fact that they had to play in 10 men for over 20 minutes. Gabriel Jesus generally plays in the famous Manchester City Club as a striker scored the decisive goal before he was shown Red card for seeing two Yellow cards. He was in tears at the time he was leaving the field. He was also very angry over himself. Finally, the victory will give him a shy of relief.
Earlier, before the start of the match one-minute silence was observed to show respect to Joao Gilberto who was a bossa nova legend and died on Saturday.
To tell the truth, underdog Peru started very confidently and did not seem to be overawed by either the situation that they are playing against mighty Brazil or the condolence. But it was very soon becoming clear that they are playing against a team which was much better than them. As Brazil started to control and pass commandingly, they started looking dangerous.
Brazil first scored at 15 minutes. It was a brilliant personal move of Jesus while he defeated two defenders and send a goal-bound pass for unmarked Everton and he did not miss the opportunity. Brazil got a few more chances but could not capitalize.
At 44 minute Peru was given a penalty which was confirmed from a review by VAR. Peru’s skipper Guerrero Pereira scored and leveled 1-1. But in the injury time just before the end of 1st half Jesus scored Brazil’s second goal from a beautiful placing from the crowded Peru box.
At the start of the second half Brazil got a few chances, but all in vain. They scored the third goal at 90th minute of the match through a penalty and Richardson scored from it. Brazil won as a superior team and that’s too without Neymar-da-Silva Santos Junior, their best player and with 10 men for over 20 minutes.
Players of the Tournament: Dani Alves (Brazil) is selected as player of the tournament who was also a member of the Brazil team that won in2007.
Golden Glove (Best Goalkeeper): Alisson Becker of Brazil.
Golden Shoe (Highest Scorer): Everton of Brazil.
Man of the Match: Also Everton of Brazil.
Fair Play trophy also goes to the Brazil Team.
At last, thanks a lot to all the players in the squad and the Head Coach Tite along with all the support the staff of the team and above all the selectors.
Hope they will once again be the champion for the next Copa cup in 2020 which will be played in a new format as the traditional Copa cup is over.
LONG LIVE BRAZIL with its glorious entertaining performances.
